FREE: Intro to Computing (Windows XP)

This is a custom-made textbook for the college I attended back in the day -- haha, like, two years ago. Unfortunately, I took the class right as computers made the switch to Vista and now 7, so they wouldn't let me buyback the book.

It would make a great training tool for younger students just learning their way around a computer or really for any beginner; or maybe that special computer geek's bookshelf? ;)

The beginning of the book has some really interesting information regarding the way computers are designed (both software and hardware -- gives the best example of how compression and defragmentation work, very easy to understand).

The rest of the book consists of practices for Word 2007, Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007, and basic desktop housekeeping stuff. Very, VERY easy to understand. I really love this book's ability to teach complex ideas in really simple ways.
