Description
The listing, Self Portrait: Book People Picture Themselves has ended.
Burt Britton was a super-charismatic bookseller at STRAND in New York City who got hundreds of authors to draw quick self-portraits in the late '60s and early '70s. (Norman Mailer was the first.)
This book collects an absurd number of Britton's author self-portraits -- over 500, I think -- and is completely fascinating. Together, these hundreds of self-portraits comprise a unique portrait of the early '70s literary scene.
Each page features three black-and-white drawings
