actually a rare card will say edition then under that is a 1 means first edition means very expensive

It's rare because it's a holofoil card--which were only found every once in a while. You usually didn't get one in every pack. They were special inserts. Mewtwo is a great card with great abilities and has been used in many Pokemon card tournaments. Although, it's not the 1st edition card, it's still very awesome and hard to come across these days because of all the updated post 2000 cards. This specific Mewtwo came out pre-2000. Hope that info helps :)
