the bell is 4 1/4 inches tall and 1 and 3/4 inches across the base of the bell. It really is a beautiful bell, have never seen one made with brass and silver

Are you sure the bottom is brass? It could be very tarnished silver. Sometimes it looks like brass when tarnished

After looking the bell over more carefully it may be solid silver, because the inside of the bell is silver not sure now if it is half brass and half silver or if all silver, am going to try to clean it with some silver cleaner and take more photos and upload will not be before Monday evening
