No clue. Bought a boxed lot at an estate sale and this was in it.

How many inches is it? Is it really a pin cushion? BTW I collect mammys,LOL!!

It's about 3 inches tall. It's not very cushion-like...more like a holder I would say. I'm not sure what it is really, as I stated in another comment, it was in a boxed lot of sewing supplies that I bought at an estate sale. It had the needles and pins in it that are showed in the picture, so I'm assuming the previous owner used it for pins, but I'm not sure what it's original purpose was. A lot of people have begun collecting them. I've noticed that mammy figurines and such are becoming hot items at the auctions I attend.
