are these machine washable?

They are recommended surface wash but I have machine washed ours in my front loader HE machine a few times on gentle and they have withstood it. The felt and the way it's made can't withstand harsh washing conditions or it will become mishappen or tear but on gentle it would be OK.

They are adorable. The ones with multiple pieces (burger and toast, it looks like) are they stitched together, or velcro, or just stacked?

Thanks! They are just stacked for more fun and variety in play. Velcro can also tear up felt and I wanted them to have the best chance of lasting for a very long time. =)
