When you say "like new" condition... to what extent was it used? Are we talking just long enough to make sure it works, or did it spend several years plugged in somewhere?

im not sure what a vga looks like but if you have dvi on your computer and hdmi on your tv your good to go sorry im not much help........thanks

VGA and DVI are not compatible. VGA is the older, analog way of sending video information from computers, and, as such, does not support higher resolution data transfer (think like the computer equivalent of RCA cables for TVs). DVI, however, is a newer, digital way of transmitting video data, which does support higher resolution data transfer, hence why it can be successfully parsed to/from the high-resolution format of HDMI.
