504 pages in a hard bound book. readers digest complete guide to needlework. this book was written very well, wonderful diagrams and patterns, the photos are very clear and over easily followed instructions. very clean book with no markings inside. 10 category's embroidery has 14 with 7 projects included, needlepoint has 5 with 4 projects, applique 2, patchwork 3, quilting 6 with 6 projects, knitting has 6 with 8 projects, crochet 5 with 5 projects, lacework 6 and 6 projects, macramé 4 with 2 projects, rug making 6 with 3 projects. the index starts on page 497. this is a very nice book that not only answers a lot of questions but like I stated the instructions and photos are wonderful very crisp and clean. also it gives a complete supply list for each category so you know exactly what ya need to learn each category. this book is very heavy so I am starting credits at 499. if are just a beginner or moderate this perfect. very skilled would find it a nice addition if not to break some of our bad habits lol.
