Toshiba Satellite L305D Purchased in 2009. Originally had Windows Vista, upgraded to Windows 8, but it is not touchscreen. i have the original CD's to re-install the old OS.

Mylyla - I have the original cds and manual that came with my laptop. Windows 8 was a download through my college, so a cd is not an option. Unfortunately, I'm not able to do free shipping on this, but there are other auctions that I do free shipping on.

No it runs perfectly fine. I will admit though, I think it runs better with Vista, it seems like 8 takes up too much memory to run because of the apps and it appears to be slower, imho. The built in camera and speakers work fine too.

Of course, it's a legal copy. As I stated before, it was a download available through my college. It is not a corporate copy and has it's own product key (which is included with the manual and Vista installation CD's. This version is Windows 8 Professional Upgrade.

I let it charge and used it for about 30 min without the power supply. It read there was about 45 min remaining. So I think it's safe to say it has about an hour worth of juice. Amazon sells replacement batteries compatible for this model of Toshiba for about $15.

Bless You..I had 10 children.. but is it easy to operate? Like a macbook pro is harder for me than windows because windows is what i use. And you said something about a touchscreen but I see a keyboard...so it is a laptop and not a tablet right?

Oh my, you love kids. It takes a special person to do that! It's very easy to use, although there is a slight learning curve. It is a laptop. I mentioned touchscreen because the new laptops with 8 pre-installed all have a touchscreen display in addition to the standard keyboard. The main screen had apps just like a tablet, then there's the desktop which is just like any other PC with the exception that there isn't the traditional "start" button in the bottom left hand corner. You hover over the four corners to get to different screens and options. For example, the bottom right corner is where you'll find the power, control panel, personalization, search, etc.
