The listing, Internal Revenue 1898 IR Overprint Stamps has ended.

The hard to find one and two cent postage stamps with I.R. overprint for use by the Internal Revenue in 1898 are offered for auction. The IR overprint is in black on the two cent stamp and in red on the green one cent stamp. Please enlarge the picture to see the two stamps the winner will receive. As with all of my stamp auctions, the winner will receive a bonus collection of stamps as well.

Sorry I accidently put the one cent green IR stamp in scanner upside down. The stamps are hand cancelled as was the procedure in 1898.
