The listing, Powermat Multi Device Charger has ended.
The Powermat brings magnetic inductive charging to portable devices, allowing you to charge your iPhone, BlackBerry, Nintendo DS and a variety of other popular gadgets, without having to actually plug them in. And it shows us the future potential for wire-free charging solutions.
Measuring .5 by 12.3 by 4.5-inches (HWD), the black, oval-shaped Powermat features three charging positions, and an additional USB port for powering up a fourth device. While it is vastly more elegant than the traditional plug-in-the-wall charger, the Powermat isn't completely wireless—a compact power adapter brings electricity to the charging pad, but depending on where you choose to place the Mat, the cord can be easily hidden. The power adapter supports 100-240V power sources (so it can travel abroad), and the four-foot cord winds neatly around the wall wart for storage. On the rear of the unit, to the left of the USB port and power connector, are two buttons: One for adjusting the brightness of the device's front LEDs, used to indicate a wireless connection, and the second for adjusting the volume level of the pad's charging confirmation tone, to high, low, or off.
