**As i've played with this fabric i figured out that a neat zigzag stitch around the edge will keep it from unraveling, the shorter and tighter the stitch the better. Then you can go back and trim the edges if you want to leave it natural.

I've also notice that using another fabric in the stitch will also keep the edges secure, if you want to leave it natural. Like, using a pretty fabric backing on it for placemats and trimming the edges so that they fray naturally.

This also presses well enough so that folds are neat, with a warm steam iron. It won't be a dry cleaners sharp crease, but it'll keep your work looking neat.

All kinds of things to be done with burlap!! Can you tell i LOVE burlap? I'm like a burlap and linen kinda chick.
