Do not lower your starting bid..if she wants to bid let her earn her credits..if she doesnt have enough credits to bid then i guess she does not need to be commenting on what you start your bid off at..people will bid on these at your starting bid of 5000..i agree you are paying shipping and you do not want to end up paying some one for your own shoes..do what you feel is right for you...not for others..good luck
okay I lowered it. sorry I havent got a chance to post the bottoma yet. .I will as soon as I get home today though. and sorry im not very experienced in this yet. thanks for the advice.
Honestly I never lower my starting bid and people still bid. Everyone wants to get stuff cheap on this site and thats not what it is all about. The site is for people who can't afford to pay with MONEY. but prices should still be the same but paying in points. Shoes aren't cheap either. PLUS shipping! So I think people should respect someone's auction the way they set it up. Just saying but I'm bidding good so beware
Wow ladies, way to be confusing. While a higher starting bid does scare off a lot of bidders, TeeeBee is right about this being an acceptable starting bid, especially when you factor in free shipping. Sometimes people do set it too high, but it depends on what the item is: it's value and condition, as to what starting bid would be acceptable. If the item being listed is a sure-seller, start with a very low starting bid, or none at all because it draws in more bidders. If the outcome is questionable, start with a higher bid amount. This item, you could go either way really. The only thing that MAY hold down bids on this would be the pictures, and that is just a maybe. If you had more pictures showing more detail and angles, and without the flash throwing off the color, I'd predict you'd get well over 5,000 credits if you started bidding very low. The pictures here are not bad, by any means. There are MANY listings for more expensive items with blurry pictures even, so you are ahead of the game. I'm just trying to help you get a better understanding since you're new here, and the other comments were rather confusing. I've been selling online for 10 years now. I did it professionally for other people, and was a top rated power seller on eBay before retiring, so I know the game very well. Hopefully this is helpful information for you. Good luck!
