Some of the back of the book reads:

Order 66 has all but exterminated the Jedi. The few remaining have been driven into exile or hiding. But not Jax Pavan, who's been steadily striking blows against the Empire as a long guerrilla fighter and a valued partner of Whiplash, a secret Coruscant-based resistance group. Now he's transporting a valued Whiplash leader, targeted for assassination, from Coruscant to safety on a distant world. It's a risky move under any circumstances, but Jax and his trusted crew are prepared to pit their combat skills and their vessel's firepower against all Imperial threats---except the one Jax fears most: Darth Vader. And Jax knows that Vader will stop at nothing until the last Jedi has fallen.

hello again Rose! I am curious... I am not familiar with this book. Where does it come into play in the timeline? Between which 2 books?

I don't know which books it comes between. But, it takes place when Darth Vader was doing his reign of terror and after the order 66 to destroy all the Jedi was given. The Jedi had not discovered that Yoda, Mace, or Obi Wan Kenobi were still living. It was when Luke was a tiny baby, but of course the Council had hidden him and Leah. Maybe this will give you a clue. It is a good book.

That would be sometime after Republic Commando Series book 4: Order 66.
Does the book have a timeline in the front of it like most of the books?

Yes, it says 19 years before Star Wars: A new hope. It's after Coruscant Nights---Patterns of Force (which is of course after the rise of Darth Vader) and before the Han Solo Trilogy.

That must be a new release! I don't have it listed in the timeline in The Han Solo Trilogy book.
