The listing, Vintage Bakelite Crisloid Set of 5 Dice has ended.

This is a set of five Crisloid bakelite dice still in the original box. Not sure if all the dice are original to the box. Made in the USA. See pictures for details.

How do you check to make sure they are bakelite?

Honestly ... I compared to what others are saying. The majority of same brand stated they were made of bakelite material.

An easy test is to place the die under some running hot water for about 30 seconds. If it has a distinctive odor, it is bakelite. Another test is to use 409 cleaner. Use a cotton swab with some cleaner on it and rub a small area. If the cotton swab turns yellow, then it is bakelite. Clean the dice right way to remove the cleaner.
