Unfortunately using the GIN is the only way. In addition, this auction is bound to go much higher than 508 credits :(
Try selling some stuff to get more points to bid higher! I am going to list a $6 Microsoft Currency auction later today or tomorrow. Maybe you could try and snag that one.
