The listing, Vintage Aluminum PLANTENDER Spoon/Fork? Pacific Metal Co has ended.

I THINK this is a spoon/fork but I'm not totally sure.
I'ts the markings on the back of the spoon that puzzle me.
It is marked PLANTENDER on one side.
On the other side it reads:
Pacific Metal Company Distributors of Alcoa Aluminum"
This is very old.
I have looked all over but I can find no other information on it.

To me it looks like something for the garden. When you look at the name it says plant tender, why I was thinking garden, but not for sure.
