It's probably authentic coin. There are many sellers on eBay from Israel, Europe & other countries who got it from people excavating the coins. I actually bought some too-- cleaned and uncleaned. This one above have good details.

What I really like about you is that you don't block people who try to state that its fake.
According to my research this is legit. Even if its not its still worth a couple of bucks. Sheesh, whats all the fuss about. Anyway I'll try bidding and try my luck. Have a Happy New Year

Tuco1000, I am sorry people on here are being such weirdos about this being fake. People I think do that to keep bidding down so they can get it cheaper. It's really a deceptive and misleading practice some people on Listia have. I block anyone who does that to my auctions.

As evidenced by e-bay sales. Thousands of these coins exist and are sold everyday throughout the world.

I have been buying and selling Roman Coins for years. Your opinion is respected. Roman coins are interesting and profitable. I have found silver coins and some very rare coins when I purchase the uncleaned lots. Many of these coins are found by modern day medal detectors. The people finding them sell them uncleaned. They are cleaned to remove the encrusted mineralization. Some lucky folks have even found gold coins. I have not. I am glad you are interested in ancient coins. Please try e-bay and purchase some.

Could you let us know how did you get this coin...?????!!!
Is it real or is just an inmitation...????!!!!!
If I am not mistaking and according to the federal law, if this coin happens to be real, will be considered "Italian National Patrimony" and the Italian Goverment should have the first option to buy it......!!!!!!!
If I was you, I would do some research first......and dont get in trouble......!!!!!!
