The penny in this auction IS NOT the penny in this pic. The penny for this auction is a 1899 Indian head penny in very similar condition to this one, all beat up. It was found on a deserted beach with a metal detector. Everything found was at least 100 years old. My eyes are not great, with a magnifying glass I can see it's date is 1905. That makes it a whooping 111 years old !! I do not think it is suitable for a coin collection but for a charm or necklace I think it's perfect. It is not worn the normal worn flat, it has a bumpy look to it probably from being in salt water for a century. I personally think the bumpy aspect is pretty unique and cool looking.
