If this is used it is against the law to sell this. If a cop were to see a person selling one it is an automatic $500 fine and depending on the judge could hold up to a 30 dat jail sentence for a first offence. You wont find the details online but health insurance companies are starting to spread the word. The same rules and fines apply to used cribs and breast pumps.

I did my research. I was told by aninsurance agent that you are only allowed to give away used carseats to people you know because you cant prove whether or not they have been in an accident. If a store or person are caught selling used they get the fine and the seller could get jail time. Same goes for cribs and breast pumps. It is now a national law in the u.s. and canada has made it a law as well.

Well cribs are the worst to sell used and if you get caught buying a used crib both the buyer and seller get fined for it. Selling used cribs is one of the worst things you can do because the safety laws change EVERY year.

you will not get in trouble... there are lots of stores that sell used items such as car seats , & cribs... if thats the case then there would be many used kids/baby stores shut down!!! if it was in an accident they take pictures and take away the car seat.. trust me i got into an accident 3 years ago and they took it away... you can not sell a car seat if its expired , period... if its not its free game!

that's absolutely the most stupidiest thing I've ever heard.idk what state you live.in or who told you that but that is a lie because there are legal consignment shops around here who buy & sale used cribs,car seats,jumpers & bassinets & the woman who owns most of these consignment shops works at the court house & she would buy & sell used baby stuff if it was illegal but everybody k.owe she does because its in her ad & she ain't got fined or arrested.
