The winner of this auction will receive 25 live kalanchoe young. There may be extra included, but at least 25 HEALTHY young with roots will be shipped to the winner. Kalanchoe reproduce through the creation of new plants on the spikes along the edges of each leaf. Young which grow on the spikes closest to the base of the leaf are typically larger and better developed, thus making them more likely to survive than those which grow on the tip of the leaf. I make sure to screen the plants carefully and include a minimum of 25 which are extremely viable with visible, healthy roots. I also usually include a few extra, some of which may not be as healthy as the majority. This allows the winner to possibly have even more plants than the base 25.

Kalanchoe plants are considered succulents, and are useful in treating sunburn the way aloe vera does. Kalanchoes are also very hardy plants and an easy plant to grow even for beginners. The spikes on the leaves are blunt and slightly rounded so there is no danger in messing with these plants.

Shipping Info: I take care to make sure that these plants are carefully packaged in plastic containers which are shipped in a bubble wrap-lined envelope. Due to the expensive nature of shipping containers and postage, it has become a necessity that I charge for the cost to send these plants. For an extra dollar, (total of $5.00) I will happily include a tracking number. If the winner pays to include a tracking number and the package fails to arrive or the condition of the plants is poor, a second identical package will be sent. If no tracking number was purchased then any problems will be considered but no guarantees will be made. Additionally, if you have not allowed Listia to verify your address then please do so. Items sent to unverified addresses are not covered by Listia Assurance. I am willing to help newbies figure out how, but I will not send anything until I have a verified address.
