These are brand new. I opened the package for pictures but as you can see in the picture they are brand new.

Good for emergency car box.

The link that came with them to keep them together wasn't very good so I added a much better one that gives more versatility especially if you want to use them without separating them.

It's not exactly that you would use them to eat with while connected but if you needed to quickly store something you wouldn't have time to detach them. All I did was use a better quality twist closure ring on them that is big enough around that these could be used in an emergency like what might happen while camping. Nothing whatsoever changed about the item except that the very low quality thing they had holding them together was replaced with a much higher quality item. So a nonfunctional or low functioning .05 cent or less item was replaced with a highly functioning $1.99 item is all. I threw out the old link because it wasn't light and it wasn't titanium so it had rust on it from sitting on my pantry shelf for a few years. The As you can see from the pictures the rust did not touch the titanium and they are brand new and unscuffed.

I meant to say stir in place of store. If you had to stir something quickly as might happen while camping I meant to say.
