The listing, magic egg plant has ended.

Winner gets one egg, the egg starts off solid white, as it grows the eggs turn yellow. These are really beautiful plants. One egg has alot of seeds in it. You just let the egg dry out and next year plant your seeds, they are not hard to grow, just water a few times a week.my grandkids call them Easter
Eggs because you will have solid white, half white and yellow and solid yellow all on one plant.

You need to open the egg and harvest the seeds or the egg will rot

They dry out .and you can harvest the seeds.

are these something that will harden, and then the seeds are loose in them , so you can make birdhouses out of them like gourds?

No they dont get hard, they dry out, one egg has lots of seeds, so you can replant.

YW If you don't the inside will rot before you are able to harvest the seeds. It would alos be easie4r if you just list the, easier to ship.

We have been planting them for about 6 years, always just jet them dry up on their own, may try your way.
