does the battery work?

i have a BB Curve that suddenly won't come on at all. if i plug it in, the little red light comes on, but the device won't power on at all other than that. before it stopped coming on it started shutting off on it's own and im not sure it's the battery that's the problem, but if i can get a good battery i could try...what is wrong w/ this one that u r listing it "for parts"? thanx for ur time
