The listing, Cinnabar hand carved Chinese lacquer boxes, pair of 2, new has ended.

Two intricate and beautiful lacquer jewelry/trinket boxes, fair trade and handmade in Beijing. These boxes are new, but the art form is antique. I purchased them from the National Geographic store a couple of years ago intending to give them as a gift - would make a nice Christmas present. They are in excellent condition and the paper box is included. Each cinnabar box is approximately 2"W x 2"L x 1 1/2"H. One has an abstract design and the other a pair of birds.

Is there a certificate or any papers included about the authenticity of the boxes?

No. I don't recall getting any paperwork other the receipt. I can only guarantee that I purchased these from National Geographic.
