FREE: Silver ring with amethyst color stone

This ring is marked in two different places...but I cannot tell what it says! My Dad bought this ring for me a few years back, and it is way too big for me. It is a size 9. He told me it was sterling silver and amethyst..but I will be honest. I'm not sure. To me, it looks more like stainless steel! I have tried everything to make out the two markings, but my old eyes cant make them out! Its very pretty, and I have wore it once or twice, but the size is too big for me. I wish I could tell my great Listia people that its real silver and amethyst..but I cant for sure. So, bid accordingly. If you think its a lovely piece of jewelry, go for it! If it turns out to be real..well then that is awesome!!
