Description

The listing, Brand New! USA Map by Alma's Designs has ended.

You are bidding on a brand new USA Map by Alma's Designs as shown on the photos.

USA Map is the perfect way to learn your states and put them on the map. This soft cloth embroidered USA map has removable Velcro states and zips up to tote anywhere on the continent. The handles make this portable for travel. It is colorful and beautifully handcrafted. This encourages creative play and children have fun as they learn geography. It develops fine motor coordination.

This is made for children ages 3 yrs and older. When closed it is approximately 16" wide and when opened it measures approximately 22" wide by 16" high.

Please note that Vermont (abbreviated VT) is embroidered as NT instead.

It is new and have never been used.

All the items in my auctions come from a smoke-free and pet-free home.

Please take a good close look at all the pictures. You are getting it as shown on the photos and I tried to describe it the best possible way as I can. I do not accept returns.

I will ship your item via UPS-Ground for FREE. I use the most basic UPS Ground Service. If you want upgrades such as shipping to P.O. Box, Hawai'i, Alaska, shipping outside of the U.S., military or faster shipment, I am willing to work with you but...YOU MUST PAY FOR THEM. If I have to go to the post office to use U.S. Mail instead of UPS-Ground, you WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE POSTAGE TOO. I need a physical address where UPS can deliver. They do not deliver to a P.O. Box.

I normally will ship no later than 3 business days after I have your shipping information, but will try my best to ship sooner than that. Shipping is FREE. I'm sorry but I don't ship outside of the U.S.

Please send me your information within 7 days of the auction closing date, and if I don't received your name and address, per Listia's policy, I will keep your credits and will re-list the items again.

All Listia rules apply to this auction.

THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND HAPPY BIDDING!

Thank you. I love this item myself and my son brings it with us when we go on car trips. It really helps him occupy time. He thinks he's playing but he's learning at the same time. LOL! I wish you good luck on my auctions.

This is so creative and cool. I can also see it being used in a preschool or PreK/K environment.

Thank you! My 9 year old son has one and, I swear, I pulled all the pieces off and I tried to put it back myself and I couldn't do it. BAD!!!! I think I need it since it's been awhile since I learned this and I have to seriously catch up on my geography. LOL!

Your comments makes me think it might be more appropriate for my 6 year old niece than my 2 year old nephew (who I thought of first when I saw it). Because, now that I think of it, you are right I don't think that kids learn states until later in school. But I still think it is awesome. My husband and I are an international couple (USA/Australia) so we think a lot more about kids knowing geography than a lot of people I think.

Yeah. The manufacturer says for ages 3 and up, I guess, because they don't want to have any issues with children under 3 playing with it. My son is 9 years old and they have and still learning just the continents. I do have it ready for when they are learning all the states. I do plan on getting ahead start on him and start practicing with him little at a time and that way, I re-learn these at the same time. Right now, he's able to put back the ones he's visited so I'm thinking of practicing with 5 to 10 states a week.

All pieces can be neatly stored inside the set that conveniently opens and closes with a zipper and has two handles for easy transportation.

Me too! I love it so much that I gave one to my son. It is such a great learning tool. I told him that once he memorizes all the states and where each one belongs, we will have a race game. We will time each other and who ever can put it all together quickly and correctly wins. He loves being challenged like this.
