Description

The listing, 3:10 to Yuma DVD has ended.

This is a widescreen DVD of '3:10 to Yuma' starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale.

We (my wife and I) bought this new and took very good care of it, with no children and we're non-smokers. I'm pretty sure we only watched this specific copy twice. I'm disabled now so I simply need to downsize.

I apologize for any blurry pics. My hands tremble a bit but I made every attempt to be thorough. The disc is in excellent shape and the case only shows shelf wear.

I'm shipping within the US only (nothing against everyone else - I'm just limited on my options). I'll send it in a padded envelope with track & confirm for free, and only to verified addresses.

Listia rules apply and all that fun stuff. Be sure to ask any questions before placing your bid.

GOOD LUCK & HAPPY BIDDING!

Fanned, watching and bidding. Thank you. By the way, this is a remake of a film which originally starred Glenn Ford, Van Heflin AND it's based on a story by the wonderful Elmore Leonard, who wrote short stories and screenplays. He began with writing westerns and then later wrote in the genres of suspense and crime fiction ... Among other stories, he wrote the following (and more) which were also made into very successful films: "Last Stand at Saber River", "Get Shorty", "Out of Sight", "Hombre", "Mr. Majestyk", "Valdez is Coming", "Joe Kidd" and "Rum Punch" (which was adapted for the movie "Jackie Brown" - directed by Quentin Tarantino.) I'm a "former" college librarian (once a bibliophile, always a bibliophile) and a published poet. I have always loved writers, writing, good books and good movies. I do prefer this later version of "3:10 to Yuma", mostly because of the casting, simply because I like Russell Crowe's work better than Glenn Ford's (although he was quite good, too.)

FB, thanks! And yes, we lost a great author when Elmore Leonard passed away last August. He had given us so much.

Indeed - and he lived to be 87 years old, bless him. So many great stories and screenplays were created by him. At an event, another author told Leonard that his dialogue was so well written, "Your prose makes Raymond Chandler look clumsy." Quite the compliment, considering. I was very pleased when Quentin Tarintino brought his work (back) to life for other generations to discover and enjoy. Oftentimes, someone will hear a song and not realize somebody else did it years before - such as Blood, Sweat and Tears performing the song "God Bless the Child" ... not only sung by Billie Holiday, it was also written by her. Of course, there are more recent examples. Much in the same vein, when I heard they were remaking "True Grit", I doubted anyone could do justice to a movie that starred John Wayne - I was very pleasantly surprised to see Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon ... and truthfully, I now prefer the remake over the original, it was done so very well. It's a fantastic movie.

If anyone could do it, though, it'd be Jeff Bridges. I also loved Crowe's work in 3:10.
