you can transmit on the FRS with no problems but you need a license to transmit on the GMRS frequencies, just a friendly reminder :)

Yes. They are rechargeable.

You can transmit without a license on the FRS frequencies, but the GMRS frequencies "require" a license, Which a lot of people don't get.. anyway these are great little gadgets, F&W Most definatly :)

are these things for real ? could I possibly use at an amusement park or some similar situation ? I have these really nice Lego walkies-talkies and they only go a mile on flat terrain . James Bond all the way..!! Ha

yep, these would more than likely work at an amusment park, remember UHF is line of sight so if there are a lot of hills or obstacles in the way it will limit the distance they can transmit.
