Description
The listing, PENTAX CAMERA...VERY GOOD PHYSICAL CONDITION has ended.
Ashahi Pentax. I don't know if it still works. I have not used it in years. I am sure the battery has to be dead. I guess it is now an antique. Exact shipping
Questions & Comments
hello rippygirl---maybe you can ask them if you can edit your listing from "very good physical condition" to be able to add "some repairs necessary"...i don't know if you can edit the title on your own ...but you have updated it
I thought your question was a very good one until I attempted to open the battery compartment. And now, "Houston we may have a problem" I put up some photos of the problem. If it is one....Check the update please.
the part that fell off is the film wind/rewind---as the Pentex Ashahi is an entirely manuel camera that is a necessary component and will have to be repaired---don't worry about trying to open up parts of the camera//the manuel interactions are sensitive and too much stress in the wrong way may create additional injury--I have my own...keep the part that fell off together w/the camera...and they can be reattached by the future owner...it's an important piece of camera operation, but good to know beforehand---thank you for your honesty, rippy
Thank you for putting my mind at ease about the part. And I did make some scratches around the compartment while attempting to open it. I don't know if Listia will allow me to remove the auction and refund the bids.
good luck rippygirl--i applaud you for your honesty & updates--not sure i'll bid anymore, but am torn, as my first event shooting camera was a pentex ashahi, ....but it sounds like it now will need some repairs...and you have to search out places that may be able to do so...i had to send mine across the country years ago...still a couple days to think about it...but wanted to thank you for your offering & honesty
Thank you. Hopefully it will only need that piece put back on. It was in good working order when last used over...yikes. It was on a closet shelf since the mid 90's
