Could you give us the measurements of your Maltese so we have something to compare it to? I'm new to buying clothes for my dog. I've measured her but all the sizes seem to be so different! I really to think there is a "standard" size, is there?

Almost everything I've gotten for him that was a medium fit him. This one is just a smaller medium. I think it all depends on the maker of the shirt. Hope this helps.

My maltese weighs 20 lbs. It's just a bit tight on him. So I'm thinking maybe 15 lbs would be a good bet for this shirt. Thank you for stopping by!

Thank you so much for your time and effort! I have a Lhasa Apso. She's 4 months old. According to her measurements and the sites I've looked at, she could be XXS, XS, SM, SM/MED....I'm soooo confused! Makes it hard to buy on here! LOL

Yes it is a med, it's on the smaller side of med though. My maltese weighs 20 lbs and it is a bit tight in the chest area otherwise it fit him fine. Hope this helps!
