The listing, VINTAGE METAL LA REGALE CLUTCH WITH CHAIN **GIN has ended.

Stunning vintage La Regale rigid metal clutch with chain. In great condition with the exception of a few very small scratches on the bottom shown in pics and a very small bit of patina on the design. I do NOT remove patina for several reasons the biggest of which is that I want the new owner to decide that for themselves. Inside lining is a rich tobacco colored suede and is stain and tear free. Hinges on bottom and on chain and the rope chain itself are in like-new and very sturdy condition. It measures 6" long, 4.5" tall and 2.5" wide when closed. I Googled for several hours and found nothing that looks even close to this clutch. I think the stamp is a thistle of some sort but I just can't put my finger on it, so to speak. Almost looks like and artichoke except that it depicts a long slender center leaf. If you know or have ideas please comment! ;)

Thanks! It really is a beautiful and unique piece. I'd keep it but I'm a bit of a realist and know that a) There is no way in hell, even as an evening bag, that my everything I would want to take out would fit in it. Though it is pretty roomy. I just carry too much historically. b) I don't wear gold-tones very often. I look better with silvers and I prefer them anyway and lastly c) even if I could fit everything in it and started wearing more gold-tones this beauty would sit neglected in my closet for years at a time when someone else could be loving it. ;)
