The listing, USED 80 GB APPLE IPOD CLASSIC has ended.

Your bidding on a USED 80 GB Apple IPOD Classic.

This was given to me a few months ago and I do not know a thing about ipod's.

This ipod does have some scratches on the front & back of it and no cracks on the screen. I had to borrow a usb cord to charge the battery because the battery was very low in power.

It did not come w/ the usb or ear phones so please keep in mind that this auction is offering the IPOD ONLY

As you can see it does work but when I got up this morning it wouldn't turn back on, I have no clue why unless it's in a deep sleep mode. I tried to get it to turn on many times and also tried to reset it and needless to say it still would not so maybe who ever is interested & wins could figure it out what's going on with it because I haven't a clue!!!

This ipod is being auctioned off as "as is condition" and that is simply saying that you already know that there are issues with the ipod

just letting you know... if i recieve this and there is water damage, i am going to request a refund due to incorrect description, but i doubt there is water damage. Just glad to win:)

IPods that are in storage or not used frequently tend to have battery loss issues.. meaning if you don't charge the battery often(as with typical usage) it slowly loses its charge.. eventually no longer able to hold a charge. May have happened in this case.. I've had it happen to one of mine. They are costly to replace I'm not sure ipod even does it anymore.. if they do, they charge a fee. Let US know if you can get it to hold a charge again!

well it's not been in storage and my daughter was using it when we first got it, it worked just fine and it fully charged when I charged it up, worked just fine then too. I don't have a usb cord anymore so I will not be able to recheck it. any time soon but thanks for checking out my auction and thanks for the info.

Did you try this: same thing happend to mine(have same model) you have to let it run out of battery should take about a day or so. Then recharge it and it should work. Did you try pressing down the menu and circle button at the same time for about 10seconds that also sometimes work

The battery was pretty much ran down already when I got it and it worked then but I borrowed a usb cord to charge it, it was working just fine the night before then..... the next day I tried to turn it back on just to make sure that it did still work, then it wouldn't come back on so I did an engine search to try to find out what to do with it and did what your suggesting and it still would not come back on. It's fully charged now so the winner of this auction can figure it out. I'm kinda dumb when it comes to stuff I don't know much about. Thanks for your suggestions and have a great day!

Awesome auction! any just so everyone know, you can buy the sync cord for around $5 on ebay (if there isn't one posted on listia) and you can get a decent set of headphones at the dollar store for a buck ;)

Can you try these steps to see if the iPod will work?

1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)

2. Now press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, which may take about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

I checked the internet and asked a bunch of questions and I did exactly what you have suggested and it did nothing, I've even used the usb to see if it would come back on that way but still nothing, thanks for being a great member and offering some help and have a great day!
