They are no longer coins for spending when taken out of circulation. IF YOU attempted to spend after being cut, technically that would be fraudulent as you are returning into circulation a coin of less weight that originally noted. This US statute was written for when coins contained a certain amount of precious metals. People would shave off some of the coin, then spend a lightened coin. they saved the shavings from numerous coins. That intent is fraudulent. Using for jewelry is not a fraudulent intent.

It is all legal bullface, as coins are removed from circulation, not to be spent after being carved out, but for a use as jewelry. It is because of no fraudulent intent is done with this cutting. However, if you tried to spend a cut coin, that would be potentially fraudulent.

If you wanted to pay $5.95 Priority shipping I can arrange for quick debit bank card payment via email and ship right away, but I don't think it is necessary if you win and pay right away. Item should arrive in time. Item would ship Tuesday from California.
