Questions & Comments
this thing is beautiful and a bag of random doll parts sounds fantastic. lol
You are right I bet all dolls probably looked that way in that era just to make money lol she needs her eyes done and her hair replaced bad reminds me of a scary movie i bought her at a estate sale in a even creepier bag full of dismembered doll parts. Any one need partial dolls like torsos with just heads or arms weird??!!
...Best guess..she was in the time period of between 50's to 60's..judging by the booties. It was common to place bells on the booties of babies to toddler age in that time period. I know that if the eyes move on older dolls, then they would be worth more money, as very seldom do they last after use, not to mention the sentimental value. That's all I know.
My husbands cousin gave our daughter a collection of dolls from his late mothers collection. One is a 50 or so year old Mattel doll with changing facial expressions when the arm is rotated. It so creeps her out. She thinks it's demonic. To this day it is packed away in the attic. I'm going to put all the old dolls on eBay for her. She's 29 and not into collecting dolls. She'll probably use the money she makes on a new saddle or tires for her truck or fixing up the horse trailer she bought recently.
This is definitely a Shirley temple doll....I have her but mine is rough with cracks....I have the german version.....they are extremely creepy and what happened to her eyes
The dolls are really wierd but whoever buys check out the history and look at the hands and see if they and can be moved up and down separately. They may have been used in a circus or sidewalk show. I really do not know just a thought. fan me back
I swear I can almost hear the ting ting of a old music box everytime I see her it reminds me of some movie that has all the scary dolls in the intro.LOL
LOL I guess listening to your gut is good sometimes then!! I am glad you like it and your in luck I do not accept blood as payment:) I will definitely look for some more when I am out and about.
I thought the same way golfcartgirl shirley temple is it plastic or composition? i can't tell/ she just needs a makeover hair and face and a little love
Doll collectors are always needing replacement arms legs and heads-lol- these old dolls aren't made like this any more and the only way to find missing limbs is old antique shops. Would do well if u decide to post the odd doll parts
Oh to think I was going to throw them away!! Thanks for saving them I am glad they can be put to good use again I will add pics and include them with this doll.
