This looks like OPTIC PANELED/HOSTESS LINE made by Federal glass from the late 20's-30s! Awesome piece! I don't have enough to bid, but I will let my husband know about it, I'm sure he will be interested. Also Vaseline glass is typically yellow in color, Uranium glass is typically green. Just FYI :)

They say that it comes in both colors by the glass books

You are correct. Both colors contain uranium, I guess I'm just used to depicting them separately based on color :) But you are correct it is technically Vaseline glass.

I am laughing a little bit based on the comments and whether or not it is considered vaseline or uranium based on the color because the antique dealers where I live bicker back and forth all the time about it. The group of them that are the "purests" as I have nick named them consider only the yellow to be truly considered and called vaseline, and the green to be uranium, unless it is a piece of depression glass than it is called depression green and heaven forbid you call one by a name for the other. LOL. But in reality because they all contain uranium it kind of doesn't really matter to the average collector and they call everything with uranium in it vaseline glass and that is also how they search for it online. I have a book that is just for identifying vaseline glass and while most of it is much older than what is listed on here usually late 1800's-1900's prior to the 1920's and most is yellow in color there are a few green pieces mixed in the book as well I think. Anyway good luck to you sir, all though you don't really need it based on the current high bid. ;)

I collect Vaseline glass and have studied it. So yes, but true classification, Vaseline glass is only yellow and uranium glass is green, but yellow vaseline glass has uranium in it as well, so they are both uranium glass, but only vaseline glass is yellow. There is even a white/cream/yellow 'milky' glass that has uranium in it, which is sometimes called Vaseline glass, but still not true Vaseline glass. It has to be shiny yellow, like a see thru color, that glows under black light to be Vaseline glass. But all still uranium glass no matter the color.

Oh and yes, some federal glass glows in the dark too, as well as green depression glass..some of it, not all.
