Here is my primer on GINs. Hope it's helpful down the road.***
GIN = Get It Now
If you are familiar with eBay's BIN - Buy It Now - well, this is Listia's version. Basically, it allows you to set a high price for an item in addition to the basic starting bid price. If someone is desperate or just really, really wants your item NOW, they can pay the higher GIN price. If someone does bid the GIN price, the auction ends immediately.

Here's some of the fine print:
1. Minimum GIN price is 2000 credits. You can't list a GIN for less than 2000.

2. Listia charges you 50 credits to list a GIN. If someone gets the item using GIN, Listia gives you your 50 credits back.

3. Listia withholds 10% of the GIN price if someone takes the GIN. I asked them about that and they said that it is a way of ensuring that listers don't abuse GIN, that we don't just put GINs on everything we list.

4. As a lister, you cannot list an auction with a GIN until you meet certain Listia requirements. I don't recall what they are but it's something like having completed a certain number of auctions. You can find the details in the FAQs.

Anyway, I think this covers the basics of GIN. ;-) I am not a moderator or a Listia employee; I'm just a lister who has learned some of the basics and likes to share that information with new listers. I encourage you to look at the FAQs to verify what I've said since something may have changed and I am not the final word on how Listia works. That's my disclaimer. ;_0

Could you post a picture that is a little less blurry? I think they are pretty and would be interested in a GIN, if you are, but would like to see them a little better first. Thanks!

First, thank you for the pics. They are lovely, and I will be bidding. As for GIN, it means "Get It Now". Unfortunately, since you have no completed auctions yet, Listia won't let you do a GIN. No matter! I'll just have to be patient. LOL!

Thank you for saying so. We lost her awhile back and I was close to her. I'm finally able to let go some of what she had. She was a total jewelry hound lol considering she had several huge jewelry boxes stuffed to the gills. Sounds like me. :) Thanks for stopping in and happy bidding!
