Description

The listing, Curious Vintage Stamped Coral Ring ~18k Gold~ has ended.

Hello there! This is an auction for a stunning ring. Words can not do it's beauty justice. Please take a glance at all of the photos to really take it in.

This ring features a very curious series of coral colored "egg" shaped stones, three small gems sit at the top right, the right and the left sides of the ring...on the outer edges. The gems on the left and right are more turquoise in color. The top right gem seems more green in color. That could just be my eyes playing tricks. Inside the band, it is stamped "18k GE" Followed by a strange K inside a circle like a copyright symbol. I looked it up, to see if it was a maker's mark and came up empty handed. If you have seen this mark please comment below. I am eager to learn more about it <3

It's 7 1/2 I believe or an 8. I wear 8 on my ring finger and it's a little snug.

I,m going to give up soon...no matter what I bid on it comes back in seconds saying I was over bid. Does any one know how this is done?

If a user bids 10,000 points right off the bat, they will hold the highest bidder position but listia doesn't make the number jump that high until someone tries to bid that much. I hope that makes sense. It frustrates me too when I first started.

GE usually means Gold Electroplated ;)
I love your auctions!

It's still gold something, which is great for people with allergies to other metals. Only the gold touches skin. Thank you so much :) I do my best to list the best <3

Are you sure it's not an "F" rather than an "E" because that could mean something else. Anyway, I'm wondering if the difference in the color of the stones isn't because they are coral gems and just not as well matched as they could be. Think I'll be bidding on this one.

It is most definitely an E. The stamp is very very clear except for the weird K at the end inside a circle. It is a very curious little ring :) I'm sure it would fit in perfectly with your collection :3 Thank you so much for stopping by Jlynn <3 You are always such a wonderful bidder!

ge means gold electroplate, so its not real gold

It's still gold. Just gold plating over something else. If it's silver or copper it could be worth some. In my experience so far, vintage jewelry is often gold plating. If it's an issue you don't have to bid... :( I stated above in the description that it's Stamped GE, I stated no false information.

GF would only mean gold filled which is just like GE gold electroplate, neither are pure gold just have gold on top. Not enough to be worth a lot but it is beautiful and who knows, maybe it would be since it is vintage and beautiful! :)

I am aware that neither are pure gold. I put gold in the listing because if you are seeking jewelry because of an allergy...the only metal your fingers would come in contact with is the gold, as the other metal is underneath of it. If this is vintage like I am 97% sure it is, it will be worth something just in itself. Thank you for the info. I appreciate it. I wish I could figure out what the K inside a circle means... That's the part that's baffling me.
