Premier Fashion Plus One Pound Bag Mill End Yarn

PLEASE READ ALL OF DESCRIPTION. Thanks!

This yarn will come in a mill end bag plastic bag that weighs one pound. There are 9 balls to this bag.

Brand: Unknown
Fiber: Unknown
Yards: Unknown

I don't know much about this yarn but believe it is an acrylic/polyester blend. It is a thin webbed/mesh ruffle type of yarn. The colors are chocolate brown, deep magenta and orange. Please note: The camera is picking up more of a purple color, it is actually a true deep magenta color.

Please see all pictures posted. The first picture is the entire lot you will receive of 9 balls. I have included a close up of a skeins as well a picture with pennies holding open the strand. Unstretched the yarn is about the same width as the pennies show in the picture. This yarn does have a little bit of stretch as ruffle yarn does.

I am a mill end lover. About 70% of the yarn I do use is from the Fashion Plus/Sprinrite/Cotton mill end bags I buy at my local craft store or online. For those who are not familiar with them there is a variety of reasons they are found in 'mill end' bags. Some are: discontinued lines, factory overstocks, end of the mill runs that may be of odd lengths, off dye lots, test runs of new yarns, and on occasion it may not have passed the quality control test to be placed on store shelves. I have found these mill end bags to be of wonderful value and has been a great way for me to find some beautiful expensive yarn at affordable prices.

By mesh, ruffle. Do you mean the kind that you knit at the edge of the yarn and it's spread out and ruffles?

So these yarns are what they called as scarf yarns. The color blend is really nice. Will be watching and might bid if I have enough credits. Great auction...

I've never seen yarn like this before. It looks like a detail trim to me. It's very nice. I have no idea how you would use this as I don't see the usual open edge. This will be nice to see how it could be used.

This yarn is a thinner ruffle yarn. It does stretch and is a mesh type. A similar mesh texture people may be familar with would be the Bernat Twist 'n' Twirl, although the yarn is much wider. You would knit/crochet into any part of the mesh along one side. The Ice Yarn that is similar to this is called "Frilly" yarn but is available in other brands too. Here is a YouTube video that shows items a lady makes from this type of yarn. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isMxq6MmhVw.

Copy and past the link to your browser from the previous message and it will bring you to the video. Make sure to remove the 'period' at the end of it which Listia automatically put in. Thanks!
