This item was originally purchased on Ebay, and was listed as an 18k gold plated simulated ruby ring, however, upon recieving this ring, I noticed that it was not stamped 18kgp, so i have taken it to my local jewler to see what the ring was actually made of. My findings were that the ring does have a rhodium finish to keep it from any tarnishing and it is a simulated ruby (man made), but I could not find out what the base metal is without possibly destroying the ring.

This is actually a beautiful ring, but I am not really into the larger stones. It would make a great gift or treat for yourself, and from what my jewler said, will not tarnish, but I will tell you that there are NO markings on it.
