The listing, Vintage Civil War Book- Hardback- 1892 has ended.
Following the Flag by Charles Carleton Coffin is about the civil war. book is warn looks like 2 burn marks on front cover i see 1 torn page still in tact and the first few pages have come loose. the rest seem pretty secure
Not really sure this is what I found I'm not sure if its all facts or facts within a story but sounds like he knew what he was talkin' bout-Charles Carleton Coffin was one of the best-known newspaper correspondents of the American Civil War. He has been called "the Ernie Pyle of his era," and a biographer, W.E. Griffin, referred to him as "a soldier of the pen and knight of the truth." Yet he remains little known to the present day generation. After the war Coffin returned to Boston for a well-deserved rest, but soon was at work on a series of books detailing his experiences as a correspondent. He wrote My Days and Nights on the Battlefield (1864), Following the Flag and Four Years of Fighting, both published in 1865
Not sure what this means but inside the book it reads-Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1864 by Charles Carleton Coffin in the clerks Office of the District of Massachusette
