I make my bracelets very tightly knotted. While this makes them stiffer at first, once they've been worn for some time, they loosen a little. I find though, by making them this way, they last a lot longer than when made with loose knots. and if you're someone who never takes them off, like me, you don't want them falling apart from daily wear. The 2 bracelets pictured are just over two years old and just recently started fraying on the edges.
