I attended a benefit car show this past weekend and there is a silent auction that runs everyhour all weekend.

I spent a whole lot of money and it is always worth every penny that I give to this cause. Basically it is one car club deciding to eliminate the middle men and they have adopted families with special needs children. Throughout the year this car club picks up the tab for items that these families need, such as the children grow, they need larger wheelchairs. if Insurance doesn't pick up the entire tab, the car club makes up the difference. This past year they were able to give their first ever scholarship of $750.00 to a special needs child to attend college!

That is why I love this car show so much, no one gets paid a dime to administer this program, they do it for the sheer joy of helping their adopted families. As you would expect there is a waiting list to get adopted, so we try to give until we run out of money at the auction every year.

I ended up with lots of stuff that I will not use, and this is just the beginning of the goodies that I will be posting.

Now, back to my auction, this is an Estee Lauder make up bag, I am also posting the matching lipstick and compact mirror in another posting. Brand new and is the peacock design. I won two of these and am certainly keeping one of them, they were both stuffed with skin care and make up items!

I wish there was a way to donate the credits from this to vintage wheels, but until there is, I just might use rewards to get DVDs and such to put into next years auctions!
