The listing, Vintage Discostat Stereo Equipment - New In Package has ended.

NEW - Vintage Stereo Equipment. Still sealed in package. The Discostat is a device that was made in West Germany for Radio Shack. There are not many of these still around. A websearch only turned up one, still in West Germany. This device is for a record player and eliminates static electricity charges. It cuts out the popping noises most old record players create. It also prevents dust from depositing on your vintage LPs and records, which over time does damage the recording. I no longer have a vintage record player, so have no need for this. I'll ship it free in the US.

Is this the needle arm? Does it replace the old arm and if so does it come with a needle?

No. Does not have a needle at all, and is not the needle arm. This works in addition to the needle. Just cleans the vinyl and removes electric static charges. Enhances the sound of the record.
