yea, the other person who won it didn't want it because it doesn't take sim cards. but this does take micro sd chips.

I use a Palm Treo on AT&T prepaid. It all depends on the carrier.

Yes. Flashing will change the software on the phone to the carrier specific apps that are phones they sell. If you like the current set of apps, you can call the original carrier, identified by the logo or name on it, with the ESN/IMEI and they will give you a code to input into the phone so it can be used on any compatible network.
