I'll try to answer questions I know answers to :) the tins have been used at one time to bake in, however I myself did not as they were used for decorations in my kitchen..

The round tins are normal cupcake size

The bird on the cake tins is actually part of the tin so there would be a bird on top of the finished cake it appears..
