The box doesn't specify a length. I measured them as best I could through the window of the box and they appear to be about 1/2 inch long. I'm not sure and I have never actually used them. I wanted to ask my son's girlfriend because she uses them all the time. Unfortunately, she has been at work and I wanted to get back to you tonight.

Mine too, obviously. If you want to buy them at the Dollar Tree, that is definitely the way to go. Not everybody has an extra dollar and some people just prefer to trade, rather than buy items. Those are the people who I am posting for. Just so you know, the distributer for Dollar Tree items will drop ship most anything you can get there at your house by the case for fairly cheap for resale. A lot of people are selling these items for $3 - 4 each on Ebay and other auctions. It is a perfectly legal and for some, profitable way to earn money from home. That is not what I am doing at all but, I understand your point, I also was shocked to see Dollar Tree items selling for that amount. I actually am just trying to help those who don't have an extra dollar for "luxuries" to get them for nothing besides what they already have to trade because I am in that boat from time to time myself.
