small metal box with crushed velvet lining. top of lining is perfectly in tact, the bottom lining has separated but is still original lining & sits inside box. very cool!

not magnetic. other than the obvious pattern no markings. its not heavy but doesn't seem like it would be aluminum.. has to be something heavier. sorry :) guessing
