Description

The listing, Tuquiose and Sterling Silver Jewelers Headpins has ended.

This Auction is for a set of Turquiose Headpins that are .925 Sterling Silver. (see pics for .925 mark) These are 2 and 1/4" long. The decorative ends are just over a 1/4" but not quite a 1/2". These are used by Jewelers as a very easy way to make earrings and/or Pendants. You add beads to the head pin and then Voila! You have a beautiful piece with very little work.

Use the GIN and get a third which would make the perfect for an earring and necklace combo set.

A little info on Turquoise;

Egyptians prized Turquoise as a Life Stone. The oldest pieces of jewelry set with this gem are fourbracelets found on the mummified arm of Queen Zar. She ruled in Egypt about 5500 BC.

Highly revered in Tibet, a Turquoise stone was carried throughout one’s entire life. It was exchanged as currency & the finest stones were considered more valuable than gold.

Turquoise is still a valued power stone. It will strengthen and align all of the Chakras; and it can be used to cleanse your energy centers. As a meditation tool, the gem can assist in clearing your mind, opening you to the Universal All. Use Turquoise to attune to the spiritual plane or provide protection during vision quests or astral travel.

Native Americans believed the stone brought protection to a rider upon a horse, and great protection in general, especially to turn away the evil eye.

These are not for your hair unless you make a hair pin out of them. These are a Jewelry Maker's wet dream. The Sterling Silver is a long "pin like" and easy to put other beads and charms on and make Pendants or earrings then the ends are easy if you have jewelers or a pair of needle nose pliers it is easy to roll these to finish them off. Seriously with a set of these a pair of earrings takes me Maybe ten minutes to make and a Pendant five. They are called Headpins so I can see how it would be really confusing. I have been asked a version your question every time I list a set of these. So I appreciate the question. Thank you for taking the time to look and and ask. =)
