It is 6 inches from the top of the purse to the top of the handle.

Hello- technically it can be worn on your shoulder, there isn't a ton of space between the top of the purse and the strap. i have bigger arms so it didn't work for me.

Hi we own a booth at an antiques mall and we had it there for sale. It was the sale tag and it is removable. I will remove it prior to shipping. It is tied onto the purse by twine.
